One Vineyard. Four Decades. One Night.

A Private Château Beau-Séjour Bécot Vertical Tasting

Some bottles don’t just age — they hold time still.

On Saturday, November 22nd, you’re invited to join us at Delicate for a rare vertical tasting of Château Beau-Séjour Bécot, featuring four exceptional vintages — 1986, 1989, 1990, and 2000 — plus a refreshing apéritif and a sweet finale.

It’s not every day you get to sip wines that are nearly 40 years old — and still very much alive.

About the Château

Château Beau-Séjour Bécot sits on the famed limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, right at the heart of Bordeaux’s Right Bank. A Premier Grand Cru Classé, the estate has been family-owned by the Bécots since 1969 and is known for its commitment to terroir-driven, age-worthy wines.

The typical blend is 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, creating a wine that’s both structured and elegant — capable of aging with grace for decades. All grapes are harvested by hand, and the wines are aged in French oak barrels, with a portion of new oak each year to enhance texture and complexity.

What makes Beau-Séjour Bécot special is its balance — refined power, minerality, and aromatic depth, evolving year after year into something that tastes like memory in a glass.

The Wines You'll Taste

Each vintage on the table tells a story — shaped by its harvest, its soil, and the hands that crafted it.

  • Château Mont-Pérat 2017 (Apéritif)
A bright, modern Bordeaux to open your palate.
  • Beau-Séjour Bécot 1986
Almost 40 years old — and still holding its frame. Smoky, firm, with dried fruit and earth. A quiet powerhouse.
  • Beau-Séjour Bécot 1989
Ripe and lush, with a supple texture. Notes of cedar, plum, and hints of truffle come alive in the glass.
  • Beau-Séjour Bécot 1990
A benchmark Right Bank vintage. Rich, expressive, layered with tobacco leaf, dark berries, and sweet spice.
  • Beau-Séjour Bécot 2000
The start of the modern era — generous fruit, polished tannins, and youthful energy that’s beginning to soften.
  • Château Coutet 2007 (Finale)
A Barsac dessert wine that closes the evening with candied citrus, honey, and delicate acidity.

What to Expect

This isn’t your average tasting.
