Domaine de Chevalier is classified for both its red and its white, and the white is made in far smaller quantity: around 15,000 bottles in 2007. Dry whites were the highlight of the 2007 vintage in Bordeaux. This one is about 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Sémillon, and the Guide Hachette gave it a Coup de Cœur. Critics describe lemon peel, grapefruit and green apple, white flowers and wet stone.
Drinking now, and it can keep for many more years.
