KYARA Thistle & Burr Riesling 2015 is a classic example of the stunning lime flavors from Eden Valley. The single-site estate-grown vineyard, with ancient sandy loam soils over areas of bedrock and clay, provides the perfect conditions for Riesling grapes to develop.
Lime and green apple flavors and aromas combine with balanced acidity and a lingering palate length. This refreshing, crisp, dry Riesling is a fine example of the very best that the Eden Valley region can offer.
Jo Irvine, the winemaker, has skillfully crafted the Riesling to be an example of the best that the Eden Valley can offer. The fruit is handled very delicately from vineyard to winery to ensure a clean and true fruit flavor.
“Thistle & Burr” Riesling is named after the pioneering ancestor Heinrich Fiebiger and the many roles he undertook after settling in the region in 1861.
