Givry - The source of the French King Henri IV's preferred wines in the 16th Century

Givry (along with Mercurey) was once the epicenter of Chalonnaise wine production. This Albert Brenot 2018 displays a vibrant ruby red color and exudes aromas of ripe raspberries and blackcurrants. Its palate is characterized by a subtle earthiness, complemented by gentle tannins that offer excellent structural support. It pairs seamlessly with both white and red meats, whether grilled or prepared in sauce. Additionally, it makes a superb accompaniment to artisan cheeses like Epoisses or Soumaintrain.

 

Serve ideally at 14°C for optimal enjoyment. This wine is suitable for enjoying now and has excellent potential for aging over the next few years.

About the Producer

Maison Albert Brenot is one of the oldest wineries in Burgundy. It is founded by Albert Brenot in 1849 in Savigny-lès-Beaune, a few kilometers from Beaune. In addition to being a grape grower and businessman, Albert Brenot is also a French foreign trade consultant, and received his Diploma of Honor at the Universal Exhibition in Milan in 1906. He is recognized internationally for his outstanding talents as a winemaker as well as a trader in the international trade. Albert Brenot is also the founder of Doudet-Naudin Winery, and his products are absolutely guaranteed with confidence.
