About the Producer

Vieux Château des Moines is located in the southwest of Saint-Émilion, and its name originates from the iconic mystical spirit of the region during the Middle Ages. By combining the best ancestral traditions with the latest technology, this wine is crafted in the cellar and modern aging cellars like a work of art. The harvesting is done manually in the traditional way, followed by meticulous sorting of the fruit. After sorting, the grapes are placed in toasted oak barrels and temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Regarding the classification of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, Château Prieuré-Lichine ages the wine in new oak barrels for 18 months. The final step is the careful blending of the three grape varieties.
