Chateau Mont Perat - A Crown Jewel of Premières Côtes de Bordeaux

The Château Mont Perat Blanc 2016 is a remarkable French white wine that exhibits a pale yellow color. This Bordeaux wine is composed of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon, offering fresh citrus, herbal, and mineral characteristics. On the nose, it presents delightful fragrances of guava, green apple, grapefruit zest, and crushed stones. The palate reveals notions of lime juice, yuzu zest, and green mango with touches of wet slate and dill seed. Medium-bodied, this wine provides soft-spoken citrus and tropical layers with just enough freshness and a white pepper finish. Ideal for pairing with vegetables, both soft and hard cheeses, seafood, and white meat, the Château Mont Perat Blanc 2016 is a testament to the exceptional winemaking tradition of its Bordeaux origin.

Since its feature in the renowned Japanese manga "The Drops of God" in 2005, Château Mont Pérat has become one of the most celebrated wines in Asia.

About the Producer

Since being featured in the famous Japanese manga 'The Drops of God (神之雫)' in 2005, Château Mont Pérat has become one of the most renowned wines in Asia.

Château Mont-Pérat, archaically Domaine du Peyrat, is a Bordeaux winery from the appellation Premières Côtes de Bordeaux in the department Gironde. The estate is located on the Right Bank of the Garonne, opposite that of Graves, in the commune of Capian.

The estate produces a red and a dry white grand vin. Mont-Pérat has for long remained relatively unknown, though the estate was mentioned in the second edition of Féret in 1864, it has more recently been described as a wine that could pass for being much more expensive.

The estate was acquired by the Despagne family in 1998, also proprietors of the considerably more fashionable and higher priced Merlot based wine Girolate.
The vineyards extend 102 hectares (250 acres) with vines of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle.
